One Nation Under God
Who We Are
I
n
1996, Mr.John Thuss asked the United Methodist Men to sponsor a Boy Scout
Troop at Saint Paul's Church. Since then the UMM has been a very generous
sponsor giving facilities and resources to the Boy Scout Program.
Troop 33 is a small troop that lives by the values of the Scout Law. Being
sponsored by a Christian Organization allows for reverence and respect to
be a major
part of our Troop program.
The
Troop calendar is active and includes camping, hiking and day trips.
Troop
meetings are held weekly from September through July. Meetings begin
at 7:00 PM on Thursdays at Saint Paul's, Boyd Hall. All young men
between the ages of 11 to 18 are invited to attend.

Our Mission
The goal of the Boy Scouts of America is to help boys
develop into honorable men. Scouting values are incorporated into a boy's
daily life. This is done through three basic aims of leadership, character development, citizenship training and
mental and physical
fitness.
These same values dictate the program for the Scouts in
33. The goal is for every Scout to earn the First Class Rank and then
focus on the Trail to Eagle. Our weekly program is designed for both
advancement and fun. The program is set up by the Scout Leadership of the
Troop.
