Cub Scout Camping Basics

Facilities - Treasure Valley Scout Reservation has more than 1,600 acres of wooded areas, nature, and Browning Pond. We are licensed and/or receive permits from the Towns of Spencer and Rutland, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and accredited by the Boy Scouts of America to operate Treasure Valley Scout Reservation.

Financial Aid - A limited number of Camperships are available to families who demonstrate a need. A Confidential Campership Application is available through the Mohegan Council Service Center. Camperships generally are granted for one-half of the cost of camp registration. No Scout should be denied the access to Mohegan Council Summer Camping programs due to financial need.  2006 Campership Application

Health & Safety - Treasure Valley Scout Reservation employs full time health professionals that are licensed by and meet all requirements by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. All Scouts and adults must have an up-to-date medical form on file to attend Treasure Valley Scout Reservation. Webelos Resident Camps require a current physical form signed by a licensed physician. NO PHYSICALS WILL BE GIVEN AT CAMP!

Insurance - The Mohegan Council maintains an insurance policy, which covers all Scouts and adults while at camp. This policy is a secondary plan to the campers existing coverage.

Staffing - The National Council of the Boy Scouts of America certifies Treasure Valley Scout Reservation Camp Administration and Program Staff. A staff application can be obtained online.

Trading Post - A well stock Trading Post with a variety of supplies will be available throughout your son’s week at camp. Parents should discuss their son’s spending needs for the week. For Adults, Visa, MasterCard and personal checks are also welcome.

Visitors - Parents and families are always welcome to visit Treasure Valley at anytime during their son’s week. Please register at the Magee Visitor’s Center upon your arrival and departure from camp.
