2011 Jewish Religious Emblem Award Workshop

Sunday, December 11, 2011, 1 to 5 PM, at Temple Reyim, 1860 Washington Street, Newton, MA 02466.

A special workshop for Jewish Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, Explorers, Brownie, Junior, Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts is being held. All Scouts interested in earning their Jewish Scouting religious emblems (i.e., Maccabee, Aleph, Ner Tamid, Etz Chaim, Lehavah, Bat Or, Menorah, Or Emunah) are welcome to attend.  The cost of the workshop is $36.00 per scout. Scouts will work in small groups with a counselor on the emblem appropriate for their level.

Requirements for the Girl Scout emblems can be found at http://www.njgsc.org/

Boy Scouts can also earn the Hebrew Interpreter strip.

Scouts completing all requirements and submitting completed forms by January 15 will be presented with their award at a special community-wide Scout Shabbat to be held at Temple Reyim, Saturday, March 3, 2012
