Scout Shabbat

 

Saturday, March 3, 2012, 9:30 AM to 1 PM Temple Reyim, 1860 Washington Street, Newton, MA 02466.

Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Sea Scouts, Venturers, Explorers, Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts, Israeli Scouts, and Scouts from other Countries – young and old – please plan on attending and participating in a special Jewish Scout Shabbat.

Temple Reyim (1860 Washington Street, Newton, MA) is hosting a Scout Shabbat on Saturday March 3, 2012 starting at 9:30 AM. The Scout Shabbat Service will consist of special activities in both the main and youth services. Scouts, young and old, are invited to participate in all aspects of the services.

Scouts (including their families and friends) from all over Greater Boston are invited to attend. All Scouts (young and old) are urged to wear their uniform to the service.

At the Service, Scouts who have earned their Jewish religious awards (i.e., Maccabee, Aleph, Ner Tamid, and Etz Chaim, Lehavah, Bat Or, Menorah, Or Emunah) will be recognized.

All current Scouts, or adults who were Scouts as youth, are urged to join in this special service. Individuals (Scouts and adults) who would like to participate in the service are welcome to volunteer and should contact David Carlen (carlen@norwich-corp.com).
