If your Scout Unit Doesn't Sell Popcorn - You Can Still Sell as an Individual Scout Family

In the past, if a unit decided that they did not want to participate in the annual Council popcorn sale, all the families in that unit were unable to sell. NO MORE!

If your unit chooses not to sell, we have developed a way in which individual families in those units can sell Trail’s End popcorn this fall, Scouts can earn great prizes, and best of all - you will receive 30% of your total sales amount.

How do you participate? First, to qualify, your son must be registered in a Scout unit that has decided not to participate in the popcorn sale. Then contact Rick Riopelle, Council Popcorn Staff Advisor, by email (popcorn@ktc-bsa.org)or phone (508-872-6551).

Below you will find some more details regarding this program:

• Scouts must collect money while taking customers orders

• Product orders, money and prize selection are due on October 30th

• Product will be available for you to pick up on November 21st

Drawings for Special Prizes

Scouts who submit "Filled Up" take order sheets can participate in the drawings for great prizes.  Check out the "Scouts" page for more details.  There's a link there for all the details about this new 2009 incentive and even a file on How to Sell 25 Items in Just One Week!  What's more, a filled up take order form will earn approximately $124.00 (maybe more) for your son's Scout unit. 

Scouts Can Earn Badges Through the Popcorn Sale

Scouts who participate in the popcorn sale can complete a number of rank, activity badge or merit badge requirements.  Check out the article on the "Scouts" page.

New Online Training for Scouts and Families

Click on the following link to get to the brand new Web-Based training segments, produced by Trail's End.  Select the link in the middle of the Trail's End homepage, then select the segments that are geared for Scouts.  There, you'll be able to view short (2-3 minute) training courses on how to sell popcorn, safety, and much more.
