$750 Seller Popcorn Celebration Information

New for 2009! Every Scout who sells $750 or more in popcorn Twill be invited to a very special celebration to be held at Chuck E. Cheese in Natick on Monday, January 11, 2010. Click here to register Scouts from your pack or troop who sold over $750 so can get them an invite to this special celebration.

2009 Commission Plan

Do you want to earn 35% of retail in the 2009 Trail's End Popcorn Sale?  You CAN and, in a lot of ways, it will be EASIER THAN EVER!   Check out the 2009 Commission Plan - there's something in it for every unit!

Total unit commission can reach 35% of gross sales!!

The base commission on all sales is 30%.

On or before December 4, 2009, you should deliver 70% of your sales to the Council Service Center. One unit check should be made payable to Knox Trail Council. After that time, you will be receiving your bonus reward commission check in the mail (to be determined by the council).

+ an additional 3% for having your popcorn kernel, Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, or committee chairman attend the Grand Kick-Offf and simply paying on time

+ an additional 2% for increasing your sale by $1,500

The Trail's End Consumer Internet Ordering Program

This program is designed to provide your unit with additional profit from Popcorn Sales throughout the year. Your consumers can log on to www.OrderPopcorn.com and purchase popcorn with a credit card. The product is shipped directly from Trail's End to the consumer and your unit and Scouts receive credit for the Sale. Click here for more details

Ton of Resources from Trail's End

Trail’s End has launched its new website! Please go to the Trail's End website to access everything you need for the fall sale, including:

  • A link to the Popcorn System, where you’ll place your product and prize orders for the traditional sale.

  • Customizable materials like the Sale Planner, as well as the Product Catalog, Clip Art, and the complete list of Scout Rewards.

  • A link to the Trading Post where you can purchase kickoff materials.

  • Online Video Training, Unit Video Contest, Scout Pix Contest, and Scouts in the News!

  • A link to View Online Sales so you can see what your Scouts are selling online. Here you’ll be asked for a validation code upon first logging in which is popcorn. It is case sensitive.

Helpful Files for Unit Popcorn Kernel

Here is what the most successful units did when they sold their popcorn:

1. Planned out the year ahead and set a unit budget.
2. Set sales goals for the unit and the Scouts.
3. Established Scout Accounts to help each Scout and his family with his Scouting  expenses.
4. Held a unit program kickoff to tell the Scouts and parents about the great year planned.
5. Sold popcorn by various methods such as TAKE ORDER, SHOW AND SELL, SHOW AND DELIVER, and SELLING AT WORK.
6. Scouts continued until their goal was met (usually 3 or 4 afternoons or weekend days).
