Regarding Solicitations
Friends of Scouting
The Friends of Scouting (F.O.S.) campaign enables the Knox
Trail Council to provide programs and services to the youth
of the MetroWest area. Many young people may not get the
chance to have a hands-on Scouting experience without the
generosity of corporations, community members and families
of current Scouts.
Donations made
during the annual campaign are used to maintain two camps,
provide training & support materials for the 2,500
volunteers throughout the Council, maintain accident
insurance to protect our Scouts and their leaders and fund
other programs including Scoutreach efforts.
Donors who
contribute $127.20 or more will receive a special limited
edition Knox Trail
Council 2009 FOS "A Scout is Friendly"
shoulder patch!

Scouting Campaign. Organizations or individuals may
contribute an award in honor of someone. The award is
presented with a certificate, a lapel pin, and a square knot
for uniform wear. Their name will be added to the James E.

the way of a tribute. The Knox Trail Council has a Scout
Memorial & Tribute Fund wherein you may send your
contribution in any amount to honor someone on a birthday,
special occasion, anniversary, express get well wishes, or
in memory of someone deceased. Special acknowledgements are
sent to the donor and the recipient or their family.
Memorial & Tribute donors are also acknowledged in the Knox
Trail Council Today newsletter, donation amounts are kept
confidential.
