Cub Scout Leader Specific TrainingThis is really five separate but coordinated courses: Tiger Den Leader, Den Leader, Webelos Den Leader, Cubmaster, and Committee. Of course, assistants should take this course as well. Basic Adult Leader Outdoor OrientationAlso called BALOO, this one-day course helps Cub Scout leaders plan outdoor events with the Cub Scouts. It makes for safer, happier, more exciting outings. BSA requires that at least one adult on a Cub Scout overnight outing must have this training. Please register before 27 October by mailing this registration form and payment to address noted on the form. Outdoor Skills for Webelos LeadersIt typically runs from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and is combined with the Boy Scout leader "Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills." Combining them lets an adult go just once and be credited with taking both courses. It also helps Webelos leaders see more of the Boy Scout outdoor program. Den Chief TrainingThis training is for Cub Scout Leaders and their Den Chiefs. Youth Protection TrainingEVERY leader should have this training. Safety Awareness TrainingLearn how to keep your Scouts safe doing all those Scouting activities. Learn to avoid dangerous and non-approved activities. Program and Training ConferenceMajor all-day event. Select four sessions and learn a lot -- and have fun. Every fall Chief Seattle puts on this fun filled not-to-be-missed training that will load leaders up with ideas to take back to their Cub Scouts. The link above is to the main Council training page. When the current year's conference has information available, it will be indicated there.
