Trail News of Note
Webelos Open House at November 12th Roundtable! If you are a
Webelos Scout, you will have a chance to meet Boy Scouts from several
different troops in the district at the October Roundtable. All Boy Scout
troops from the Kirkland and Redmond area will be invited to set up a
table at the Webelos Open House to be held from 7:30PM to 8:30PM on
Thursday, November 12th. Webelos and their parents are invited to meet boys
from the various troops as well as some of the adult leaders. You can ask
questions about Boy Scouts in general, learn about the various troops, and
decide which troops that you might like to visit. Each Boy Scout troop has
their own unique personality. Troops often have boys from several
different Cub Scout Packs. Each Webelos can decide which troop meets their
needs and is the best fit for them. This is a perfect opportunity to get
to know several troops at the same time! For more information,
please contact Lisa Wylie at lisa.wylie@comcast.net

interested in the program for a troop, is available on November 14.

more success.

as to how those guys and gals manage to turn out everything from lasagna,
roast beef and cornbread to peach cobbler, apple crisp and chocolate
cakes, all in the middle of nowhere? Join us at the Dutch Oven

before is not a bad idea. See you there! For questions or to
volunteer, contact Jeff Gettmann at jg_scouting@hotmail.com.

"Be Prepared" to heart! Their story was covered in the Kirkland
Reporter, the Seattle
PI web site and on TV by Q-13
Fox News. Check the links above for
the story details and a video of the news cast. Great publicity for Scouting
