pirate band pancake breakfast & Rummage sale

The Pirate Band will be hosting their annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Putnam City H.S.

The event begins at 7 a.m. offering all-you-can eat Pancakes, sausage, and beverages for $5 per person. All proceeds benefit the Putnam City H.S. Pirate Band.

Entertainment will be provided throughout the morning by a variety of soloists, small ensembles, the jazz band, and concert ensembles from Putnam City H.S., Capps M.S., and Cooper M.S.

Tickets may be purchased from any band student or bought at the door.

In addition to the breakfast, guests will be able to shop at the Pirate Rummage Sale being held at the same site.

studens to make up one snow day on feb. 19

Message from PC Board of Education:

In a special meeting Saturday at 9 a.m., Putnam City’s board of education approved
a revision of the district calendar to allow one missed day of school to be made up by
Putnam City students on Friday, Feb. 19.
The original district calendar called for students to be out of school on Feb. 19 in
relation to parent-teacher conferences. The board action makes Feb. 19 a regular day
of instruction for all district students and staff.
Parent-teacher conferences and high school enrollment orginally scheduled for two
evenings the week of Feb. 15-19 will be rescheduled. Parents will receive information
from their children’s schools letting them know the new schedule for parent-teacher
conferences and high school enrollment.
The decision to reclaim Feb. 19 was made in a special meeting on Saturday instead
of waiting until the regular board meeting on Feb. 16 so that parents, students and
school staff will have more time to plan for the change.
Six days of school have been missed so far this year in because of ice, snow and
cold temperatures.

pc high vs pc west

Due to the severe weather cancellations last week, the basketball game against PC West has been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6. This is an Orange Band game, although any volunteers would be accepted for the pep band. We will be playing for only the boy’s game.

REPORT TIME: 5:30 P.M. to the bandroom in travel shirt.

Conflicts must be discussed with a director prior to Saturday. This is not a guarantee that all conflicts will qualify as excused.

Winter Concert with KCMS

Concert featuring the KCMS Band, PC Symphonic Band, & PC Wind Ensemble.

Music Selections include a variety of marches, dances, broadway, folk songs, and more!

Come early to enjoy a delicious Pasta Dinner sponsored by the PC High Band Boosters. Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. and includes all you can eat pasta, salad, bread, dessert, and drink for $5!

Come out for an enjoyable evening of DINNER & A SHOW!!!

Dine at these participating restaurants on the designated dates and 15% of what is spent will be donated back to the Pirate Band Program. Tell your friends, tell your family, and anyone else you can think of! Look for the PCHS brass quintet, trombone choir, clarinet choir, and others to be performing on these evenings as well!
