Description:
Strong belief in keeping the outing in scouting. Has an active outdoor program and tries to get out in the woods at least once each month. Participates in camporees, winter and summer camps and a variety of other activities throughout the year including service projects. In addition, supports the community and provide an opportunity for the boys to grow and earn camp funds by operating a concession stand for the Kent soccer league during the fall.

The troop works hard at being boy-run as Baden-Powell envisioned it. Trains youth leaders to plan, develop and execute their own troop program with minimal interference from the adult leaders of the troop. Believes strongly in teaching and using the patrol method within the troop.
