The Scout Skills RanksAdvancing through the Scout Skills Ranks of Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class is a new scout's first challenge. Unlike Cub Scouts, a scout can work on all of the requirements for these ranks at any time -- and at the same time. To complete a rank, however, they must be done in order. A good goal is to try to achieve the rank of First Class within the first year of Scouting.
