Merit Badge Clinics

Did you know that the Sammamish Trails District (that is the one that Troop 570 belongs to) sponsors monthly merit badge clinics?  Twice each month, the LDS Stakes put on merit badge clinics for scouts who want to work on these merit badges. These clinics are typically only offered during the school calendar year, taking the July and August summer months off. They are a great way for a scout to systematically complete the twelve Eagle required merit badges. Any boy scout may attend.  It can be a great way to get a jump on that next badge that you need to earn towards your next rank!  Interested?  Follow the links below to find out the schedules and what badges are being offered during these clinics.

Saturday Merit Badge Clinics
Usually on the 2nd Saturday of each month.  The badges worked on in these clinics are primarily Eagle-required.  Only one merit badge per month will be offered, however a follow-up will be held a month later, before that month’s featured badge begins. Follow-up or sign-off will begin at 8:00 am for 1 hour. Those that attend the first time will be contacted about the second and/or possibly a third meeting. NEW class will begin at 9:00 and will last 1½ to 2 hours depending on the badge.
Thursday Merit Badge Clinics
Held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at the same place and date as the monthly District Roundtable.  From 7:00pm to 8:30pm (Scouts should bring their signed blue cards).
