Let the Boy Scouts of Troop 570 Recycle Your Tree!

A tradition and primary source of funding
Boy Scout Troop 570, located in Kirkland, WA, has a tradition
of picking-up and recycling Christmas trees as a primary fundraising effort. The
donations made during this effort are a critical part of our ability to provide
a quality program, consistent with the high ideals of scouting. Many of the boys
we will use this fundraiser as a primary means to earn money to go to Summer
Camp. We thank you for
your support.

Our Tree Pickup Program:
 | The suggested donation is $15 per tree. All your donations go directly
to funding Troop 570, and the over 80 Boy Scouts of our troop. This is our
main fundraiser for the year and we appreciate your support! |
 | Please make checks payable to "Troop 570" and put them into the
envelope and attach the envelope to the tree as you put it out on the curb
or at the nearest corner. |
 | If it is wet, please put the envelope into a small plastic bag before you
put it on the tree. |
 | If you get a flyer on your door, or you reside in an apartment community
in our coverage area, then we can pick up your tree! If your flyer has gone
missing, please just put your check into an envelope and attach it to the
tree. |
 | We pickup in parts of Juanita, Norkirk, and Highlands. In the Juanita
neighborhood we serve a triangular area north of NE 116th St between 100th
Ave NE / Juanita Woodinville Way and I-405. In the Norkirk / Highlands
neighborhoods we serve a square area east of Market to I-405 between Central
Way and 15th Ave. |
 | We deliver flyers to the homes in our pickup area. If you did not get one,
you can confirm that you are in our pickup neighborhood by looking at our Area
Map. If you are still unsure, use the contact information below to
send us your street address or nearest cross streets. |
 | If you would prefer to drop off your tree directly, you may drop your tree
and donation off McAuliffe Park,10824 NE 116th, Kirkland - see our Area
Map. We
recycle the trees by chipping them and donating the mulch to the Kirkland
Parks Department for use in our city parks. |
 | All the trees will be mulched and the mulch will be used by the Kirkland
Parks Department in our city parks. |
 | Please put your tree out as early as possible….thank you! |
For safety reasons, we cannot accept trees with tinsel, flocked trees, trees
with nails, artificial trees, wreathes with metal shape wires, or trees with any
other metal attached to the tree.
