Marble Tournament Time Change!

Due to the death of the LDS President on Monday, the LDS Church gymnasium will not be available for the Aquila District Cub Scout Marble Tournament this Saturday morning. We have decided to move the Registration start time to 1:30pm and the tournament will begin at 2:00pm on the same day, this Saturday, February 2, 2008.

Our thoughts go out to the LDS Church and we thank them for accommodating us in this difficult time.

We hope you can still make the tournament and please let other people in your Pack know about the time change. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Who: All Aquila District Cub Scouts - New recruits are also eligible with Cub Scout application at door!

What: Ringer Marble Competition - Scouts will play 7 games of marbles against boys of their own rank (Tiger - 1st grade, Wolf - 2nd grade, Bear - 3rd grade, Webelos 4th or 5th grade).

When: Saturday, February 2, 2008, 2pm - 5pm
Scouts should arrive at the Gym no later than 1:30pm for ring assignments. The registration desk will close at 1:55pm.

Where: LDS Church Gymnasium – 14020 Ambaum Blvd SW, Burien 98166

Registration: Registration forms with money will be received at the Scout Office up through January 25, 2008. Early registration fee is $5/Scout. Fee on day of event is $10/Scout so mail your registration in early! 2008 RECRUITER SPECIAL: All Scout Recruiters that bring a friend with a Cub Scout application to the tournament receive a recruiter patch.

Awards: First, second, and third place trophies will be awarded to the three Scouts in each rank with the most marbles at the end of the seven games. Every Cub will be awarded a participation certificate and a District Event segment. Participation in this event also qualifies boys for Cub Scout Sports Marble belt loop (not included but available at Scout Shop).
