BSA Mission Statement

The Mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

BSA Vision Statement

The Boy Scouts of America is the nation's foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training. In the future Scouting will continue to

  • Offer young people responsible fun and adventu
  • Instill in young people lifetime values and develop in them ethical character as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law;
  • Train young people in citizenship, service, and leadership;
  • Serve America's communities and families with its quality, values-based programs.

Aquila District Mission Statement

The mission of the Aquila District is to implement the program of the Boy Scouts of America within our geographical boundary and to work with the Chief Seattle Council in achieving our common goals.

Aquila District Vision Statement

Working within the Mission and Vision of the BSA, the volunteers of the Aquila District will:

  • Offer every boy the opportunity to be a Scout.
  • Train Scout leaders to deliver the Boy Scouting Program effectively.
  • Organize and encourage inter-unit events in a positive atmosphere.
  • Respect each boy and each adult and guard their safety and privacy within the program.
  • Be guided in all of our actions by the tenants found in the Boy Scout Oath and Law:
