Venturing Leader Specific Training

Venturing Leader Training requires participation in two sessions, New Leader Essentials and the specific training for your position in the Unit.

Introduction:

This training is designed to introduce adult Venturing crew leaders to the basic information needed to operate a crew. The training is divided into five sessions: (1) Here’s Venturing, (2) Understanding and Protecting Youth, (4) Awards and Recognitions, and (5) Resources and Program Planning. It will provide Advisors with an introduction to the mission of the Venturing program and the Boy Scouts of America.

Course Format:

We generally offer the course in one five hour day, with a lunch break, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm on a Saturday. If your unit needs a different schedule, please contact the Aquila District’s volunteer Venturing Training Coordinator, Scott Eliason at sreliason@msn.com, or 206-824-7645.

Who Should Attend?

New crew chartered organization personnel, Venturing crew Advisors, associate Advisors, crew committee members, commissioners, and other adults involved with Venturing should attend.

There is no fee for either New Leader Essentials or Venturing Leader Specific training.
