The following items, if appropriate to the project, are requested along with the"Life To Eagle Packet" when submitting the Packet to the Aquila District Advancement Chairman for signature. The Sponsor (with phone #) and two Unit signatures should be secured prior to submitting to District. (Note: It is very wise to bind everything into a three ring binder at this time so as to keep the papers organized and together.)

Bill of Materials and Tools List

Include the quantities of each material to be used and its estimated cost. List the anticipated source for the materials and how the needed funds will be raised.
Total the Costs of the Bill of Materials List.

Planning Hours

Present a log sheet listing to date all the planning hours spent on the project to this point. Hours spent by adults assisting the candidate are acceptable. Any hours spent developing other projects that may have fallen through also may be counted.
Total the hours on the log sheet.

Estimated work hours

Based on the "written work plan", in writing, estimate the number of hours of work needed to complete the project. The "work plan" should logically approximate the "estimated work hours".

Drawings

In most cases where construction will be involved, planning drawings will be requested to show how the materials are to be constructed and held or attached together.

Watering Plan

If the project requires the planting of shrubbery or other living mater, it is expected that a water plan be submitted detailing how the grounds will be watered for the summer following the planting.

Map of area

Submit a map showing the general area where the work will be done.

Pictures

If appropriate to the project, submit a few pictures showing what work need be done.

Preparation for District approval

At the meeting between the candidate and the Project Review Chairman, bring along all documentation available on the project, preferably bound in a three ring binder. This includes any draft or scratch paper that may pertain to the project. Include copies of pages 2 and 3 of the Packet to be left with the Project Review Chairman as project documentation.

Project Review Boards occur monthly at Roundtable, the second Thursday of each month.
