What’s new in Cub Scouting?

It's the 75th Anniversary!

Awards are available for participating in pack, district or council celebration of the 75th anniversary, and complete five additional specific requirements.

Cub Scout Outdoor Award

Brand New Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award will center on camping for Cub Scouts. This is a pocket flap for Cub Scouts. The first year it is earned, the patch will be awarded. It may be earned once a year after that and the recognition will be pins to be added to the flap.

The first step to earn this award, is that boys must attend Cub Scout Day Camp or Cub Scout/Webelos Scout resident camp. Beyond this, they complete a specific requirement from their handbook. Additional requirements, opportunities range from participating in an outdoor Scout's Own service to attending the pack overnighter.

Look for more information at your Roundtable this fall.

Bobcat Badge: The Bobcat badge now has a new welcome addition to the first requirement. Boys now complete the Honesty Character Connection. See page 18 for details.
